Thor 2 considering directors Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan

Earlier this week, director Patty Jenkins stepped away from the superhero sequel Thor 2. Today we have word that Marvel Studios is eyeing TV directors Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan. It isn’t clear if there is a front runner among the directors as of yet.

An unidentified extra dies on The Dark Knight Rises set

An unidentified male extra died on the New York City set of The Dark Knight Rises last month after suffering a heart attack. The extra wandered off between rehearsal takes, and was later discovered unconscious. Warner Bros. confirmed the news with a brief statement, which you can read below.

Felicity Jones to play Nelly Ternan in The Invisible Woman

Felicity Jones will play Charles Dickens’ secret mistress Nelly Ternan in The Invisible Woman, based on Claire Tomalin’s biography of the same name.

The film will revolve around the secret affair between Charles Dickens and Nelly Ternan, with Ralph Fiennes set to star as the infamous writer. He will also direct this drama.

The Invisible Woman is expected to begin shooting in the late spring or early summer of 2012.

Unholy Night goes to Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to Seth Grahame-Smith’s (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) latest novel, Unholy Night. The story puts an action-adventure spin on the Three Wisemen of the Nativity.

Seth Grahame-Smith will adapt the screenplay from his own book, as well as produce alongside KatzSmith partner David Katzenberg and Heyday Films’ David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford.

This will be the third high-profile movie based on a biblical story to go into…

AMC’s original series The Walking Dead has hit a speed bump with a member of the cast wanting their contract released. No details about which cast member have been revealed, but rumors say it has something to do with the departure of creator Frank Darabont.
