The Dark Knight Rises casting news has been flying fast over the past few days with the latest being that Eva Green and Naomi Watts have apparently been locked into roles. While the news couldn’t be confirmed (or debunked), there is no way of knowing what roles they will play if they are in fact a part of The Dark Knight Rises. However, there is speculation that Eva Green will play the villain Talia al Guhl and Naomi Watts will play love interest Vicki Vale.

Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick has boarded the Clint Eastwood-directed drama J. Edgar, about controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, reports Deadline.

Charlize Theron will not be playing the role of Helen Gandy, as was previously rumored. Clint Eastwood is now looking at Naomi Watts and Amy Adams as possibles for the Gandy role.

It’s official: Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, will reprise that role in The Hobbit and The Hobbit Sequel.

The news comes just days after we reported that Elijah Wood is returning as Frodo Baggins in The Hobbit and The Hobbit Sequel, even though Frodo did not appear in The Hobbit novel. Frodo will appear at the beginning and end of both movies, reading from “The Red Book.”

A mysterious scooper has sent photos of what appears to be the “Daily Shooting Schedule” production board on the Universal Studios lot suggesting that Jurassic Park IV is set up for production on stages “7, 10, 12, 14”.

The scooper sent this message along with the photo:

“Taken on the Universal backlot earlier today. Seems it’s all over their backlot. My guess would be pre-lim shoots testing either actors, CGI or animatronics.”

NBC has given a pilot order to Playboy, an hour-long drama set in the frisky world of 1960s Playboy clubs.

Chad Hodge wrote the script, which focuses on a group of women working as Playboy bunnies in the Chicago club. Playboy will use that as a jumping-off point to explore the nation’s changing mores and the coming sexual revolution.

Director David Fincher recently confirmed that his upcoming project 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo will be his first 3D endeavor. We reported back in May that David Fincher was taking over the directing duties on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo.
